Celebrating Women’s History Month
Each March, Cleveland Housing Court joins communities across the nation in recognizing Women’s History Month, a time to reflect on the achievements, leadership, and lasting contributions of women throughout American history.
Women have played a vital role in shaping our legal system, strengthening public institutions, serving communities, and advancing fairness, access, and accountability in civic life. Their work continues to influence the courts, the legal profession, public administration, education, advocacy, and the systems that support the wellbeing of our communities.
Throughout the month, Cleveland Housing Court will feature women whose service, leadership, and professionalism help advance the Court’s mission and contribute to the administration of justice.

Deputy Chief Magistrate Tamela Womack
Tamela Womack brings more than twenty-seven years of legal experience to the Cleveland Municipal Court, Housing Division, where she serves as Deputy Chief Magistrate.
Since 2022, she has served on the Commission on the Rules of Superintendence for Ohio Courts. She is also a former board member of the Ohio Association of Magistrates and regularly contributes to the legal community through presentations and educational programs for the Judicial College.
Through her leadership and dedication to the administration of justice, Deputy Chief Magistrate Womack continues to support the Court’s mission of fairness, professionalism, and service to the community.
During Women’s History Month, Cleveland Housing Court proudly recognizes Deputy Chief Magistrate Tamela Womack for her leadership, distinguished legal service, and commitment to strengthening the work of the Court.
