Cleveland Housing Court to Sponsor Housing Resource Clinic With Olivet Housing & Community Development Center on Tuesday, Dec. 14, at Fairfax Recreation Center

Judge W. Moná Scott and the Cleveland Housing Court will hold a Housing Resource Clinic on Tuesday, Dec. 14, with the Olivet Housing & Community Development Corporation, at the Fairfax Recreation Center. The community event will provide information important to residents, landlords and tenants.

The event will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at 2335 East 82nd St.Cleveland. It is free and open to the public. Masks are required.

In addition to Judge Scott and Housing Court staff, participants include Council President-Elect Blaine Griffin, the Cleveland Departments of Building & Housing, Aging and Water, Cleveland Public Power, Water Pollution Control, Cuyahoga County experts on Property Taxes, Appraisals, and Homestead Exemption, CHN Housing Partners, the Legal Aid Society of Cleveland, Lead Safe Resource Center, and others.

The program will feature speakers, an audience Q & A, and information tables.

Topics will include landlord/tenant rights, housing and building code enforcement, public health code enforcement, rental assistance, Right to Counsel, city utilities programs, virtual courtroom access, lead safety law and more.
